A Short History

As you can see, I have that little ® next to The Self-Help Whisperer®. Because of it, I am (In fact) The (one and only) Self-Help Whisperer!

Nice to meet you!

The reason I must go to the trouble to explain it is that I have a very bad habit. I am a purger, not of food, but of things. Sometimes, important things, like say a blog I created (lived and breathed into for seven years).

With the push of one button, it was gone. *poof*

Regrets, I have a few. This particular one took about a month to marinate. By then, there was no going back.

A few months later, I tried to start again. No can do! Someone had purchased my website name (theselfhelpwhisperer. com), and I couldn’t get it back.

Digression: Isn’t that the weirdest thing? Why would anyone want my website name?

Answer to Digression: I have since found out there is one very good reason. Money. The elusive “they” would sell it back to me for a steep price. Ugh.

It’s been about eighteen months since this all went down. During this time, I’ve realized how much I miss my Whisperer self. She put out a lot of good and kept me happily busy and focused (outside of my full-time job, I mean).

And so, it’s time for a new beginning!

The Self-Help Whisperer® has returned! This website and blog will not be a duplicate of my old one. I find that I can’t recreate it. Why should I? I am older and wiser, and I now have different things to say.

I am also happy to report that I’m losing the desire to purge. Kinda. Okay, not completely. But I’m hoping to keep it to old clothes and books instead of entire websites.

About Me

I’m Sheryl, the creator and author behind The Self-Help Whisperer® Writes Again! I’m a long-time blogger who, one day in 2024, decided to delete seven years’ worth of my heart and soul. You could say I’m a wannabe minimalist living in a maximalist body. Welcome to my little corner of the internet, infused with authenticity, compassion, spirituality, and joy!
